Donors may make “pass-through” gifts of any amount. Such gifts are made to the foundation for payment to a specific charity or for a specific charitable purpose.
Donors who wish to make a gift to a specific charity but desire to remain anonymous may elect to make a pass-through gift. BCF will provide the donor with a tax donation receipt and forward the gift to the charity without disclosing the donor’s identity. BCF staff will also ensure that the charity complies with any restrictions placed on the gift by the donor.
Other donors may wish to make a gift for a specific charitable purpose, but do not know which charity or charities are best qualified to fulfill the charitable intent. BCF will help the donor select the appropriate recipients.
BCF has a six percent (6%) administrative charge for pass-through gifts.
